In fact it's an 'AI' problem.
But this change conflicts with some of the actions and the AI tries to redo this action, once it failed, the problem with the spin attack is that the code doesn't force the NPC to redo the complete action but only one phase of it.
I'm sorry too say, but I've failed fixing this, I'm not sure if it's possible with the used action system, too.
However I have to say I never got this error more than once in a few hours of playing.
I must say I find myself confused.
OK, so if this is indeed an AI related issue in respect to AB setting, could it be that I never encountered this issue in earlier CPT releases, such as 1.5x / 1.6x precisely due to lack of AB feature in those patches? But how come I couldn't find any info anywhere about it so far? This definitely should be included in patch notes or something.
But then again, it puzzles me more, since it happens on every single spin attack I try to parry, and I did reinstall the game a few times.
It saddens me a lot, though, since this bug basically worsens (any combat strategy one may use in respect to) Large Weapons to an annoying level, while playing with AB on.
I just finished the FG with the new patch and loved the gameplay, the fact that I had shadows once again, but not the story, voices and pretty much everything else that was left of the original addon. Appreciate the job you guys have done on it. However the FG was bad, it did make me want to replay Gothic 3 again, so I installed it with the latest patch. But there are no shadows, even though I selected the workaround option.
I don't suppose there is any way to get a shader cache set up for Gothic 3 like the EE patch for Forsaken Gods did? It worked wonders for the stuttering I get at times in the game.
Well, not to change the subject, but why can't the cp patches cancel out all the orcs quests after you liberate Myrtana? I'm not going to do things for long dead orcs! All those are still in the quest log

I assume that the shadow fix workaround probably won't work with newer ATI drivers because ATI changed something again. ATI should normally fix that but they didn't and I think they never will fix that.
But mario has a GeForce GPU. Shouldn't one NOT select the workaround in such a case?
Ah my bad. Correct as a GeForce user he doesn't need to select that workaround option.
But I didn't heard before that there will be such problems with a GeForce card.

I want to change the friendly elite orc models skin(gate guard in Montera,Urkass etc) to look like the hostile elite orcs in Vengard and Nordmar. I downloaded the Gothic 3 packer-unpacker and opened the compiledImage.pak animations folder but i dont know which file contains the hostile orcs. I hope somebody could help me.
Hi I found some bugs in G3 1.74
In the Wolf Clan when we want to take quests about going to the another hut with a hunter and second tast to kill orcs by the bridge
Both of the NPC are stuck while going from the hill to the bridge by the guards
I play in community patch 1.74 and Quest Pack 4

I think that it was your own bug. For example, I have the latest versions of CP and QP but I didn't see problems with NPCs navigation during escort Ronar to the hunting hut and Hogar to the bridge occupied by orcs. Though the ice golem sometimes can block a way.

You are forgot to inform that you have Content Mod v2.x installed (at least with the 'G2 Orcs' mod and 'Assasins', 'Citizen' and 'Mercenaries' texture packages). Unfortunately, this mod doesn't differ with stability - for example, early CM versions quite often led to unexpected crashes near Reddock. Try following typical solutions:
- to reduce performance settings during gameplay;
- to reinstall CM with a smaller set of components;
- activate LARGE ADDRESS AWARE applications support for Windows XP (for advanced users only!):

Therefore you should check up presence of the rights to change ge3.ini and UserOptions.ini files (the last one forms in your profile during the first game start and it is renamed at crash).
Also I would like to see your saved game before start of escort quests (Ronar and Hogar) - maybe I will able to reproduce your problems (navigation NPCs and game crash).
No, actually, Maladiq's right, one of the patches (1.6 I think it was) was an "official patch" or, to use the term they used back then, "official Community Patch". Spellbound did some work for it, I think it was patching memory leaks or something like that.
